Take the place you yearn for

All have become the paths we have walked.

In our IDGF Japan Study Abroad Class, there are two Japanese students. They have been at the school for half a year and have long been accustomed to the campus life in China. They have also learned to get along with teachers and classmates.

They are Shenzuo Weiyue, who stays on the second day of senior high school, and Zhang Ruiqi, who stays on the first day of senior high school. Both of the two students are gentle and quiet, but they have an indomitable spirit in their studies.

Indeed, for her, who was born and raised in Japan, it took a certain amount of courage to say this. In her past studies, she had little exposure to Chinese until she came to IDGF.

The school has specially arranged five Chinese classes per week for Japanese students. Teacher Xuan Wei from the Japanese department has planned courses for the students in terms of listening, speaking, reading, writing and practice, aiming to help them become familiar with Chinese expressions in a targeted manner.

So for this interview, we communicated throughout in Chinese, which can also be regarded as a test of our Chinese learning achievements.

It's really a pleasure to celebrate my birthday with my classmates.

Having been at school for half a year, Shenzuo said that the most memorable thing was celebrating birthdays with his classmates. When the classmates get together to blow out candles, eat cakes and sing songs, they are really happy. It was the first time so many people had celebrated her birthday together. She felt it was very lively and interesting.

IDGF has clubs and also holds various activities according to festivals. These are great opportunities for Fukasawa Yuki to communicate with everyone. At every event, we can always see her active and enthusiastic figure.

At school, both teachers and classmates are very gentle (taking care of) me. Sometimes they talk to me in Japanese, so it's very pleasant to communicate with them. One of the more difficult things for me is chatting with friends (speaking Chinese). Because my hearing is not very good, sometimes I don't quite understand what my friends are saying. I want to listen to a lot of Chinese and then review hard. Weiyue said.

In fact, when communicating with Weiyue in Chinese, she can roughly understand my meaning, but for her, this is far from enough. She wants to be like other classmates, able to express herself freely without any communication barriers.
